Royal Family Enjoys Rare Public Outing
The Prince and Princess of Wales paused their usual summer holiday to attend one of the Commonwealth's biggest sporting events in Glasgow, Scotland.
Joining the royal couple were their three children—Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8—marking a memorable day for the family as they cheered on athletes and took part in official engagements.
The appearance also marked the first official occasion the three children have been seen publicly in Scotland.
William and Kate Meet Team Wales Athletes
While attending the Games, William and Kate spent time with Team Wales athletes and their families, celebrating the competitors representing Wales on the international stage.
When carrying out official duties in Scotland, the couple are known by their Scottish titles, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.
The Commonwealth Games, held every four years, bring together athletes from nations across the Commonwealth, making the event one of the world's largest multi-sport competitions.
Visit Highlights Support for Young Athletes
The royal couple also visited SportsAid, a charity dedicated to helping promising young athletes reach their potential.
Kate has served as the organization's patron since 2013, making the visit a natural addition to the family's schedule during the Games.
The outing offered royal watchers a rare chance to see the Wales children together in an official setting during their summer break, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis joining their parents throughout the visit.
