Alabama Barker Addresses Body-Shaming, Says She’ll ‘Get on the Highest Dose of Ozempic’
Alabama Barker addressed ongoing body-shaming during a recent TikTok video, saying relentless criticism over her appearance pushed her to joke about taking the highest dose of Ozempic while speaking candidly to followers.
Alabama Barker fires back at online criticism
Alabama Barker has spoken out after facing another wave of negative comments about her appearance on social media. During a TikTok video posted on July 30, the influencer delivered an emotional message, saying the constant body-shaming has become overwhelming.
She told followers that the criticism has reached a point where she jokingly considered taking the "highest dose of Ozempic" to become extremely thin. Barker also stressed that the remarks directed at her online are "disgusting" and emotionally draining.
Her comments quickly sparked discussion across social media, with many fans expressing concern over the impact that relentless online criticism can have on public figures.
She has addressed appearance rumors before
This is not the first time Barker has responded to comments about her body.
In February 2024, she denied rumors suggesting she had undergone cosmetic surgery, stating that aside from lip fillers, she is natural.
Months earlier, Barker also revealed she lives with an autoimmune disease and a thyroid condition, explaining that both contribute to fluctuations in her weight. At the time, she encouraged young people not to feel ashamed if their bodies change.
She later reiterated that she had not undergone body cosmetic procedures, adding that although negative comments can be painful, she focuses on the support she receives from loved ones rather than online criticism.
Family has also discussed weight-loss medications
The topic of GLP-1 medications has surfaced within Barker's family before.
Her mother, Shanna Moakler, previously shared that she used the weight-loss medication Mounjaro after struggling with grief following the deaths of both of her parents. Moakler explained that emotional hardship had affected her health and eating habits before she sought medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Barker continues to remain active on social media while addressing public scrutiny surrounding her appearance.
