Yung Filly Found Not Guilty of Rape Charges After Australian Trial

UK rapper and YouTuber Yung Filly was found not guilty of several rape charges on Friday after a jury in Western Australia delivered a mixed verdict following allegations linked to a 2024 nightclub appearance.

Jury Delivers Mixed Verdict

Yung Filly, whose legal name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was acquitted of three counts of sexual penetration without consent.
However, the jury found the 30-year-old guilty of two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. Jurors also returned not guilty verdicts on one assault charge and one count of strangulation.
The case centered on allegations that Barrientos sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman in his hotel room after performing at a nightclub in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of Perth, in 2024. Barrientos pleaded not guilty to every charge throughout the proceedings.

Three Rape Charges Remain Undecided

Jurors were unable to reach unanimous decisions on three additional rape charges, leaving those counts unresolved.
Prosecutors will now determine whether to seek another trial on the unresolved allegations or discontinue the remaining charges.
According to reports from the courtroom, Barrientos became emotional and cried as the verdicts were read.
