The Vampire Lestat Episode 6: Jacob Anderson and Delainey Hayles Break Down Claudia's Return

The Vampire Lestat delivered one of its most emotional episodes yet as Claudia returned in Episode 6, "Montreal," with years of trauma and rage erupting after her shocking resurrection. Stars Jacob Anderson and Delainey Hayles opened up about the character's heartbreaking comeback and its impact on Louis and Lestat.

Claudia's Return Reopens Old Wounds

Episode 6, titled "Montreal," revisits one of the franchise's deepest emotional scars by bringing Claudia back through the powers of Mayfair witch Merrick. Rather than offering closure, the supernatural reunion forces Louis and Lestat to confront the devastating consequences of choices they made in the past.
Claudia's return is fueled by overwhelming anger after enduring torture and death during the Theatre des Vampires trial. The episode makes it clear that the trauma she experienced has only intensified, leaving her consumed by grief, betrayal and vengeance.

Jacob Anderson Reflects on Louis' Guilt

Jacob Anderson explained that Louis continues to carry enormous guilt over Claudia's fate. Her reappearance forces him to relive painful memories while questioning whether he ever truly protected the daughter he helped create.
The emotional confrontation also highlights Louis' complicated relationship with Lestat, whose past decisions remain a source of conflict throughout the series.

Delainey Hayles Explores Claudia's Anger

Delainey Hayles said Claudia's emotional state reflects years of unresolved suffering. Instead of returning as the innocent young vampire viewers once knew, she arrives carrying deep emotional scars that shape every interaction.
The performance captures Claudia's heartbreak while reminding audiences why she remains one of Anne Rice's most compelling characters.

The crossover expands the mythology while setting up new supernatural possibilities for future episodes.
With Episode 6 raising the emotional stakes, viewers are left wondering how Louis, Lestat and Claudia's fractured family can move forward after confronting so much unresolved pain.
